Am I overpaying just to have the JL badge on my equipment? if so what brands can I trust to deliver the same quality and performance without the crazy price tags?.

Are the Alpine S-W10D4 Good quality subs? is the 600w RMS rating accurate? (Couldn't help but notice the 300 watts per coil next to the RMS rating.).

However it's hard to justify spending $500 CAD each on something like a set of JL Audio 10TW3-D4s with 400w rms each when I can buy two Alpine S-W10D4 with 600w RMS but just looking through amps on crutchfield they seem to be a decent value for the power they deliver while still holding a brand that I feel I can trust which is why I've gravitated towards them. which is part of the reason I went with them for door speakers. I've always heard good things about JL in my area.

Subs - 2 x Alpine S-W10D4 $230 CAD each.

Sub amp - Looking at either buying a JL Audio JD1000/1 $550 CAD or a used JL Audio JX1000/1D ($300 CAD on marketplace).

Sub box to fit my truck - EXDODGE2X10 ( ).

4 channel amp to power the speakers - JL Audio JD400/4 $350 CAD new or find a JX400/4D used.

Rears: JL-audio C1-525x 10-75 watts RMS.

Fronts: JL-audio c1-690tx 10-100 watts RMS.
